Robotics
Edge AI for autonomous robotic systems. On-device AI enabling robots to perceive their surroundings in real-time and navigate complex, changing environments autonomously.

Autonomous Robot Navigation
Real-world environments are dynamic, with pedestrian traffic and shifting equipment creating constant variables. Robots cannot rely on static maps without risking latency or failure when conditions change. SAKURA-II runs perception and visual SLAM natively onboard, allowing the robot to continuously map and adapt to its surroundings in real time. Navigation remains fluid and responsive, ensuring operational continuity even as the environment shifts.
Production Line Defect Detection
On high-speed production lines, undetected defects can quickly compromise entire batches. Inspection must keep pace with maximum throughput, without introducing delays or reliance on remote processing. SAKURA-II analyzes each unit in real time as it moves through the line, detecting surface defects, misalignment, and contamination at the source. Issues are identified with enough lead time to be corrected immediately, preventing downstream rework and material loss.

Social Robotics
Aging populations increasingly live alone, where social isolation and missed routines can affect both mental and physical health. Cloud-dependent systems introduce latency, inconsistency, and privacy concerns, especially for continuous, personal interaction. SAKURA-II enables conversational AI, activity prompting, and behavioral awareness to run locally, directly on-device, allowing robots to respond instantly and adapt to individual routines over time. Interaction remains consistent, private, and always available, supporting daily engagement, wellness, and independence without reliance on external systems.
