EdgeCortix Awarded 2024 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum

Company selected from among 100 most promising technology pioneers from across 23 global economies

Tokyo, Japan (June 6, 2024) — EdgeCortix® Inc., a fabless semiconductor company focused on energy-efficient AI processing, today announced that it has been selected as a 2024 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. As a Technology Pioneer, EdgeCortix is one of the world’s 100 most promising start-ups and scale-ups at the forefront of technological and business model innovation.

Technology Pioneers will also be invited to join Forum events and discussions throughout the next two years, bringing together leading global industry leaders, academics, and government representatives from the public and private sector. As a Technology Pioneer, EdgeCortix will join an impressive group of alumni spanning the last 24 years including many household brands, such as Airbnb, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Spotify, TransferWise, Twitter and Wikimedia.

EdgeCortix, one of only two Japanese companies selected this year, has been recognized for developing its approach to an energy-efficient, ultra-low latency semiconductors and software platform that meets the rising demand of AI applications today, from vision to generative AI in a sustainable manner.
