KANAGAWA, Japan (April 07, 2026) – EdgeCortix, a leading fabless semiconductor company specializing in energy-efficient AI processing at the edge, today announced the appointment of Shigeaki Takehara as Vice President of Sales (Asia-Pacific).

Takehara brings over three decades of semiconductor sales leadership experience, in senior leadership positions including as President of Japan KK at Genesis Microchip, Silicon Image, and Lattice Semiconductor. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-quality customer relationships, expand strategic accounts, and drive revenue growth across highly competitive and technically demanding markets.
In his role, Takehara will lead EdgeCortix’s expanding sales and field application engineering teams across Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, supporting the company’s rapidly growing pipeline of global customers. He will work closely with leadership across product, engineering, and business development to further strengthen the company’s presence in the region while scaling execution across key strategic accounts.
